Five people are pointing toward the word Guilty.

Good morning, my brothers and sisters. It’s a beautiful Monday as I write this. I want you to know that God does forgive deliberate sins. I’m writing today about my own struggles with sin over a long period. This is my story, so please don’t take offense as you read.

A few minutes ago, my mind reminded me of some terrible sins I committed long ago. Reliving those moments was painful, and I ended up on my knees, crying and asking God to forgive me.

You don’t have to go through this for your own sins. I’ve heard it said in the Bible—maybe not in these exact words: “Confess your sins to Jesus and ask him to forgive your sins; if you are sincere when you ask him, he will forgive your sins,” and that will be the end of it.

Most of the sins I committed, I knew were wrong, but I kept doing them for a long time and didn’t feel much guilt. I expected consequences, but I didn’t realize they would come in this way.

I won’t go into detail about my sins here, but remember: sin is sin, though some have greater consequences than others. You may not face the same penalties I did, because God deals with each of us differently. Now I understand why he treats me the way he does.

I met Jesus in July 2020. He was always with me, but I never really acknowledged him. When things went wrong, I would ask for his help, but I wasn’t serious about knowing him—I just wanted help. Sometimes he answered, sometimes he didn’t.

I still feel bad when I remember some of my past sins, and I try to avoid those memories. Jesus has already forgiven me, but sometimes I can’t help but dwell on them. In July 2020, I asked Jesus to forgive all my sins, and he did, though he also gave me a good talking-to.

I am a very special person to God, or a very un-special person to God; I have to live with it anyway. I sometimes wonder if I’m special to God or not, but either way, I have to live with it. What I do know is that God loves me.

He reached down to where I was, near hell’s doors, and pulled me out, even though there were others more worthy than me.me in, and you could never commit any sins as bad as mine, no matter how hard you try. So, Brothers and sisters, don’t hesitate any longer; go to Jesus today.

I’m a believer now, but there was a time when I wasn’t. Back then, I rarely asked Jesus for help. I ignored his rules and laws, treating them like they didn’t matter at all.
