Every believer is called to share the good news of the gospel with at least one person, especially those who do not yet believe. One of the duties of a believer is to tell nonbelievers about Jesus.
The terms “good news” and “gospel” mean the same thing. Before we can share the gospel with others, we need to know, understand, and live by its teachings ourselves.
The first four books of the New Testament are called the gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Some passages in these books may be a little different from each other.
These gospels were written by men, and their accounts depended on where they got their information. The writers were human and sometimes made mistakes.
Some people wrongly assume that everything in the Bible must be completely free of mistakes.
If you are not yet a believer, I encourage you to consider it. When you become a believer, you may start to notice things you hadn’t before, like feeling more at peace where you live.
Believers should know, understand, and follow God’s and Jesus’s teachings. This helps us be better witnesses. There are still people in the world who have not heard or understood the gospel.
That’s why it’s important not only to tell nonbelievers about the gospel but also to explain it to them.
I feel a sense of urgency from God to share this message. I am not sure if it needs to happen right away, but I trust that God and Jesus have their reasons.
I am using this blog to share the good news, but you can use any way that works for you to spread the gospel.
I encourage everyone, including fellow believers, to read and study the Bible often and to follow God’s and Jesus’s teachings. Of course, we all make mistakes sometimes.
The good news is that no one has to die a spiritual death. This means your spirit can live forever in heaven or another place.
The four gospels tell the story of Jesus—how he was born, lived, and died. His birth and life are important, but what his death accomplished is the main reason for the good news.
Before Jesus was born and died, everyone on earth faced spiritual death.
Even if nonbelievers may not see this good news as important, we are still called to share it with everyone, including those in positions of influence. Nonbelievers may not know God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit, so they might not understand what you mean at first.
Tell nonbelievers what Jesus has done in your life. If you have any personal experiences or evidence of his work, share those stories. If you have witnessed any miracles, talk about them too.
You may need to help nonbelievers understand and accept the good news, but you do not have to force them.
Thousands of years ago, God intentionally or unintentionally made a law that he cannot change; the law states, “The wages of sin (the penalty of sin) are spiritual death. Satan loves that law because he knows God cannot change it, even if he wants to.
Because of that law, Satan believed that everyone would have to die a spiritual death, which meant more people could end up in hell.
To change that law, a human would have to die and then come back to life. Satan knew that no ordinary person could do this.
God found a way around this. He sent Jesus, his son, who was the Spirit of God in a human body, to be born to a human mother. So, Jesus was fully human, even though his father was God.
Jesus was able to die for everyone and then come back to life, breaking the power of that law over all people.
This is what we should try to help unbelievers understand. If you succeed, you will have helped someone become a believer.
If you are not successful right away, keep trying. Even if they do not accept it, you have still done your part.
