Seven Days of US-Israel Attacks on Iran

The conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran has reached its seventh day, marked by continued attacks in Iran and across the Middle East. Today marks seven days of of US-Israel attacks on Iran.

Iran is conducting missile and drone strikes throughout the Gulf, while Washington and Tel Aviv report that Operation Epic Fury is significantly weakening Iran’s military.

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) estimates the first 100 hours of Operation Epic Fury cost $3.7 billion, or approximately $891 million per day. CSIS reports that $3.5 billion of this expense was not budgeted.

US and Israeli forces continue strikes on Iran as the conflict enters its seventh day. Since Saturday, at least 1,332 people have been killed in Iran.

The Israeli military claims it has achieved “near-complete air superiority” following 2,500 strikes and the destruction of 80 percent of Iran’s air defence systems.

Israel reports striking over 400 targets in western Iran on Friday, including ballistic missile launchers and drone storage facilities.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced its 23rd wave of strikes, while the Israeli military confirmed that its defence systems were intercepting missiles launched from Iran.

After the US-Israeli strike that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, questions about succession persist. Reports indicate his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, may assume leadership.

US President Donald Trump announced intentions to influence Iran’s succession, describing Mojtaba Khamenei as an “unacceptable” candidate.

Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, warned that Iranian forces are “waiting” for a potential US ground invasion and threatened to kill or capture thousands of US troops.

The US reports that since the conflict began, Iran’s ballistic missile attacks have decreased by 90 percent and drone attacks by 83 percent.

Escalating tensions have affected US regional operations. The US suspended activities at its embassy in Kuwait City after retaliatory Iranian strikes, while Kuwait’s air defence systems intercepted missiles and drones.

An Iranian missile struck a state-run oil refinery in a Bahraini industrial town, but the resulting fire was contained.

The UAE reported that its air defenses intercepted several Iranian missiles and over 120 drones. Qatar also reported being targeted by a barrage of Iranian missiles and drones on Thursday, following loud explosions in Doha.

The State Department reported that approximately 20,000 Americans have left the Middle East, mostly without assistance. Charter flights have been arranged for remaining private citizens.

A government-chartered French evacuation flight, intended to rescue citizens stranded in the United Arab Emirates, was forced to return mid-flight on Thursday after missile fire was detected in the region.

Germany has withdrawn its troops from Bahrain and is preparing to withdraw forces from Kuwait.

NATO, and civilian personnel. of the US military’s Middle East-based Central Command (CENTCOM), accused Iran of deliberately firing seven attack drones at civilian neighbourhoods in Bahrain. He warned that Iran’s actions are “unacceptable and will not go unanswered”.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced it had launched a combined drone and missile attack on Tel Aviv and central Israel.

Amid security threats, Israel’s Civil Administration has closed all holy sites in Jerusalem’s Old City and cancelled Friday prayers.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich warned that the Dahiyeh area of Lebanon’s capital would soon look “like Khan Younis,” referencing the city in southern Gaza that was decimated during Israel’s war against Palestinians.

US Central Command reported striking 200 targets in Iran, including ballistic missile launchers and naval vessels, in the past 72 hTrump stated that Iran is being “demolished,” “ahead of schedule and at levels people have never seen before,” and claimed the country now has “no air force, no air defence.” He added that the air force is “gone.”e said.

The Republican-led US House of Representatives voted 219 to 212 against an effort to halt the war and require congressional authorization for hostilities against Iran.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth rejected criticism, denying that the US and Israel have caused regional instability.

The ongoing war has unsettled US financial markets. Earlier this week, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by more than 1,000 points (2.2 percent) as rising oil prices fueled market volatility.
